Date: Nearly 380 million years ago (Devonian period)
Location: USA, Europe, Morocco
Habitat: Not very profound seas.
Lenght: 6m
Dunkleosteus was one the biggest placoderms of the Devonian Period. It had one of the strongest bites of all fish (maybe even stronger than Megalodon).
Instead of teeth, it had peaks formed by sharpened bone plates.
Some Dunkleosteus fossils have bite marks on their bones, so it is suggested they might have been cannibals.
