Coelacanth fish

Model sculpted, retopologized, rigged and animated in Blender 2.79 to 2.8. Texturing and map baking done in Substance Painter.

In 1938, a group of South African fisherman found a weird fish trapped in one of their nets, and they decided to show it to a local scientist. To their amazement it turned out to be a Coelacanth fish, an animal thought to have died since the era of dinosaurs. This living fossil was a great finding for the century.
