Fran and the Heart of Green Stone
An illustration I did for a job position at "Square Enix Latinoamerica" some time ago (spoiler alert, I didn't got the job).
The character Fran is a reference to Japan and the green heart is a reference to Mexico.
Interesting how there is no such thing as a "Mix Media" at Artstation "Medium" Tab (I found the same trouble at DeviantArt to clasify this work).
Colored character on Photoshop CS5.
Traditional Technique: Acrylic paint and textures (directly applied)
over printed image (Opalina paper).

Process 01. First I did the main sketch for scanning.
Process 02. I colored the character entirely inside Photoshop.
Process 03. I printed 2 outputs and prepared it for traidtional media.
Process 04. I began adding volume to the hair with gesso and tow fiber.
Process 05. I used aluminum foil to build a heart.
Process 06. I painted the heart with acrylics.
Process 07. I changed slightly the mood of the image inside Affinity Photo.
